REBECCA

A sculptor, householder and mother to two inspiring young women, yoga has been a background to so many things in my life for over 30 years.  It is now fully embedded in my daily life, with daily practice and 10 years of teaching under the guidance of Shadow Yoga founders and teachers Emma Balnaves and Sundernath (Shandor Remete), initiate of the Goraksha Sampradaya of the Kanpatha Yogis.

My passion and commitment to Shadow yoga is shared in a warm, caring, friendly environment. I only teach what is alive in me, teaching without ego or attachment, allowing the student to learn and grow in safe environment.

BEC

An artist, designer, mother and Yoga practitioner of over 20 years. Since attending my first class in a gym in the 1990s I have had extensive training with Duncan Ewing (Prahlad) from Yoga Arts Academy and Shadow Yoga founders and teachers Emma Balnaves and Sundernath (Shandor Remete), initiate of the Goraksha Sampradaya of the Kanpatha Yogis. .

Training with Duncan Ewing has allowed me to study in a traditional guru/disciple manner allowing me to fully understand the art of finely tuning and positioning the body –  standing, sitting, twisting, bending backwards, bending forwards and spiraling in depth and detail.

As part of her training Rebecca has been guided to teach in the traditional individual tuition method. Teaching from her home studio or with people in their own home or office space she tailors her teachings to the individual needs of students through personalised yoga tuition. Rebecca also teaches shadow yoga group classes at Yoga Yamabushi under the guidance of Rebecca Odgers.
