A Shadow Yoga class is a classical approach to learning. We learn by slowly but surely putting one foot in front of the other, we take a few steps back and then we proceed again, we revise what we have learned and apply it in different ways, test it out.  Everything we learn brings us back to our centre. The practice starts off as a physical practice. Over time, that feeling of finding our physical centre moves from strenuous effort to a subtle ever present reality. A feeling that one can connect with at any time. This is how our knowledge is embody or as Sundernath says ‘becomes alive in you’.  This is balance, steadiness, stability. This is Yoga the science of enlightenment.

Start your weekend off with some #shadowyoga. Feel free to come try a class even if you’ve never done any yoga before. There’s a link in my bio to my webpage with more info #hathayoga #shakti #shiva #internalarts
